Staff were very helpful
Room facilities were minimal. eg no hairdryer or coffee maker
the hotel is close to the beach, good value for money
the breakfast bar didn't work every day, no excursions were offered
Absolutely nothing! Staff was unfriendly upon check-in and check-out. Beds very uncomfortable. Room and bathroom VERY SMALL! Old furnishings. They put money into outside and make you think the inside is just as nice but it wasn't!!! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Outside of building was painted and looked nice.
Cant complaint about anything is was very comfortable very well situated even it was one night am very satisfied with my stay.back again my famy reside there in pr I go very often thanks Fred guevara
The hotel is very comfortable for the price. The rooms are big and well organized. It was economical and it suprised me it had a minifridge.
The parking should have some sort of security.
Location was close to very nice beach. Area was ok during daylight hours, Breakfast was reasonably priced and very good. Pool was clean and nice sized.
Area was a little scary after dark. Only one vending machine for snacks and water and it was mostly empty during our stay.
There was nothing I liked at Hotel Villa del Sol except that they offered bicycles to rent there. Because the hotel was dirty we checked out first thing in the morning.
When I arrived I was told that I was upgraded because when I booked with you online they had already filled their rooms. We didn't receive an upgrade we were downgraded to a filthy room. It was less money thankfully but wasn't what I requested. The first room was dirty, smelled like cigarette smoke, had stains on carpet and there were stains and mold on the bedroom ceiling. The whole place was dingy, unclean and uninviting. I got a room change at my request and we were moved to the room next door. That room smelled better but was musty and dirty as well. The whole place would be cute if kept up but it needs a good cleaning, painting, and the furniture needs to be replaced or reupholstered. There was a roll away bed just folded up outside where heat, humidity and bugs could get at it. Not sanitary by any means. We checked out as early as possible and chose not to eat in the restaurant since they couldn't keep the rest of the place clean. We arrived around 9pm and the bar and pool were both closed. This is a vacation spot so that wasn't good. The area it is located in was also dirty and in the morning there were unfortunately addicts hanging out front with visible track marks on arms and legs. We didn't feel safe or comfortable and I won't recommend or return to this hotel. It needs a complete overhaul and some attention from the owner.
The hotel was good for its price, near to the beach, good area, though it is possible to find something cheaper for the same quality.
The staff at reception was smiling but very slow. They tried to charge us twice for our stay- first cash, then from credit card! Hopefully this was solved, but gave a hard time explaining that we've already paid!! Also at question why they forgot to do daily cleaning, said that it was my fault, I forgot to put the sign"made the room please". The bar was opened only for a couple of hours a day, no breakfast avaliable though signs everywhere that you can get it.
not too expensive
room is too small and nobody told me if wifi is available for free.
The details of the yellow and white exterior were charming with a 2nd floor balcony from from my room. An open-air bar/restaurant off the lobby led to the turquoise pool. It was a walled haven in the midst of unattractive urban surroundings. I preferred it to the Embassy Suites.
good attitude from the people, though there was no one to help us with our luggage (no elevator)
the bathroom, tiny
The staff was friendly and very very helpful. It is a small hotel and typical of Puerto Rico--as it has been, something I prefer. It is a short walk to the beach, there are decent and reasonable resturants nearby. The area is safe.
The room I had was basic but very clean. My only problem was there was no chair with light to read. On the other hand I found a number of places at the hotel, outside, where I could read and relax. I did not see any other room besides the one I stayed in--and I stayed only one night as I had reservations outside San Juan.
